So we bought a fish! Wesley LOVES his fish. His name is Nemo. Wes picked it of course. He would not let us touch his fish all the way home from the pet store. In fact he kept wispering "I got chu" and "hug," on our way home. He has been very excited about this for a long time. We've had the fish bowl set up for a while now, and he has talked about the fishy in the fish bowl at least once a day. Well, weclome to the family Nemo:)

I hope he doesn't die. Whenever I get goldfish they just die real quick because they do better with oxygenated tanks. If it does die get a beta. they're super tough! The beta we have gets left for days at a time without food when we go on vacation and we've had him for over 2 years now! But that's soooo fun! And way cute how much Wesley loves it!
very cute! love the name too :D
i agree with limmie. a beta is a better option. i think it is cruel for the pet shops not to tell people that they need oxygenated tanks and just let them take the fish home knowing full well that they will be back for another in a week or less. beta on the other hand. REALLY REALLY RESILIANT!! i had a blue/purple/red beta (also named nemo, named him before the movie came out, i know, i've always been a trend setter ;) tee hee) that lived for years!! i had him before i moved out to logan to go to college, and he came with, in a little bowl, and then when i came home between semesters,he moved with me and then back to logan again, and then when i moved back home again after college he moved again(with his little bowl)he got so big! well, not THAT big, but you know, for a beta, he grew out of his little bowl and so when kurt and i got married we put him in a tank(in which he survived through a couple more moves)and finally he died because i was forced to put him back into a little bowl. he was too big for it and was smothered. poor little guy. i loved that beta!! so if you only want a pet for a few days, GOLDFISH ARE GREAT!! but a friend for life will be a beta. plus they are really really low maintenance!! that is unless you get a suicidal one ask melissa about that.;) KIDS LOVE PETS!! Wes is soo cute in these pics!! next thing you know he will be begging for a puppy. mine are currently begging for bunnies!! won't be long and i will cave i'm sure. surprised cody didn't want a parakeet. hmmm. ask him about T-La if he hasn't told you already. she was a good gold and yellow white and blue girl. Houdini(blue white black/dark blue) loved her. ahhhh pets. those are stories that will bring smiles to faces for years to come! it's the good parents who let their kids have them!! 2 thumbs up!!:)
What a fun thing for Wesley. I wish I could say "I got chu" to him.
