My mom graduated the same day as I did
Graduation was a very special day for us. Next to getting married and having Wesley, our graduation was very significant. Being able to finish school while starting our family and preparing for our future wasn't always easy. There were times when Wesley just needed me and homework was overwhelming and I felt like my schooling wasn't as important. But, with encouragement from Cody and my Mom, and lots of help from family and friends, we were able to keep going. Heavenly Father has truly blessed our family with ability to continue our education and finish our degrees. We were very blessed to have Melisa, Janet, and Lorilee help watch Wes when Cody and I had a class or too much homework. It was comforting to know that Wesley was in good loving hands and that he would be taken care of. We're grateful for the advice that we got from President Clark and Elder Andersen. We're thankful that Cody's parents and my family were able to come and share this day with us. As Elder Andersen pointed out, our commencement marks the beginning of our journey to become something we are not, but something we will become.
